Safari accommodation
Accommodation on our trips can be divided between lodges, hotels and camps, depending on which part of Ethiopia you want to visit and your personal preferences.
Our camps are used to access areas well off the beaten path. 0ur luxurious tented camps are very popular. They are perfect for comfortable exploration in remote wilderness locations, where you can experience camping in a remote forest or next to a stunning waterfall,
Types of camps
When a camping element is involved, you will either be staying in one of our luxury tented camps or one of our simpler mobile camps depending on the location and how much time is spent there.
All camping options are hosted by a professional guide who will accompany you throughout your trip. A top chef and camp team will also be on hand to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable, however adventurous you choose to be.
Luxury tented camps
Our luxury, tented camps cater to your every need and capture the romance of yesteryear.
These large, traditional, walk-in safari tents feature twin beds and en-suite facilities. Hot water is provided by the camp staff for your shower and wash basins.
An appetising menu will also be provided. Delicious 3 course meals are made using locally-sourced fresh ingredients. We are also happy to provide a vegetarian menu, when requested.
Sundowners around the campfire will greet you at the end of your day’s safari.
Our camp staff have tremendous experience at looking after guests and take great pride in making sure you are well catered for.
Mobile camps
Designed for overnight stays en-route between destinations on a journey, our mobile camps are simple and very comfortable. These camps allow travellers to explore destinations far off the beaten track.
Accommodation in a mobile camp is mostly in walk-in, dome tents with comfortable camp cots. We also have a well-catered dining area on these trips.
We take great pride in finding the most stunning settings for our mobile camps, as well as in leaving no trace that we were there.
The camping experience
At times, and when conditions allow, we can also get closer to nature and sleep out under the stars in single camp cots with mosquito nets.
This style of camping offers a unique experience – there is no better way to immerse yourself in the sounds of the African night
With al fresco dining and the milky way as our bedroom ceiling, these are often magical experiences.
